Objective

The objective of the centre is to provide opportunity to the students and professional to understand the potential of space technology and to utilise the data being generated by the various satellites that are widely available in public domain. There are many application areas like education, health, agriculture, climate, security, urbanization, transportation etc where such data can be utilised and many meaningful application can be developed for societal uses. The centre is helping students of all the engineering branches to work on Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Global Positioning System(GPS). With the view of strengthening the program the centre has collaborated with IIRS(Indian Institute of Remote Sensing), Dehradun, under department of Space Technology. The centre organises the academic EDUSAT program of IIRS and students as well as professionals are getting trained.
